The World Health Organization (WHO) has released some scary information about the deaths due to asbestos-related diseases like asbestosis and mesothelioma. The data reveals that over use of asbestos in the 20th century will continue to kill the human society into the 21st century. According to the survey taken by WHO, every year 90,000 people is died of asbestos-related diseases. The World Health Organization estimates that 125 million people around the world are exposed to asbestos at work every year and one person in every million is diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma.

    It's scary. No wonder there are so many advertisements now, mesothelioma asbestos lawyers, and awareness days. I don't think the public really knows how dangerous exposure is, and I don't know if there is going to be a good way to raise that awareness since the diseases aren't a prominent as other cancers that are in the media time and time again.
