| Mesothelioma Awareness Day on September 26 |

| In order to create the awareness among the mesothelioma victims, september 26th of every year is observed as a "Mesothelioma Awareness Day" worldwide. This year Saturday, 26 September, 2009 will be considered as Mesothelioma Awareness Day. The Mesothelioma Applied Research Foundation (MARF) and the Non-Profit Organization had started this Mesothelioma Awareness Day in the year 2005. Mesothelioma is a rare kind of cancer mainly caused by the asbestos exposure. Hence, it is our duty to spread this message to all the people across the world which helps the mesothelioma patients and support for them. This awareness program let everyone know about the viciousness of mesothelioma and to tell them about the resources and services available if they are ever faced with it. |

I think word needs to be spread more about the disease because I never knew there was such a day. You always know when it's Breast Cancer Awareness month, but I never saw anything relating to Mesothelioma. Maybe the Mesothelioma Treatment Centers should try to advertise about this more. Somehow let the public know that this is a serious cancer that needs just as much attention as other cancers do.

Thank you Elena for posting information regarding Saturday, Mesothelioma Awareness Day 26 September, 2009. It is an important event to promote awareness and fundraise for research funds and ban asbestos campaigns.
This year there were conferences help all over the UK and it was great to be involved in such an active and caring community. I hope everything that you are doing benefits many people. It would be great to see you involved with The Mesothelioma Hindsight Blog. Feel free to contribute if you have any issue that you'd like to promote awareness for.

Mills workers have high risk of mesothelioma which can be exposed for years without experiencing any symptoms. Even that majority of workers does not aware from this cancer. National Mesothelioma Awareness helped workers to know about it.
